MozMail - 1.7.10 -1.4.1 : Mail Folder problem

Permalink 25/Jul/2005 10:38 , Categories: Software, EMail

Looks like something broke with the latest Mozilla Release. ( Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050722 CentOS/1.7.10-1.4.1.centos ), Something that seems to come down from upstream.

In some of the cases, you need to select the Folder two times, before it shows you the emails inside it. I've cleaned out chrome/* and got rid of XUL.* - but it made no difference. The problem persists - and its there on x86_64, x86 and ppc. So its nothing platform / arch specific.

Anyone have ideas about this - let me know. In the mean time, if I come up with a fix, I'll post it here.

This is the first time that I have a functional issue with Mozilla Mail - in about 11 years of using it. And I am irritated like mad.

[Update: Looks like Bugzilla has it already. ]

[Update: There is a Fix - just disable 'remember last message selected in the Mail Preferences, and the problem goes away ]

Welcome to my Blog. Various bits of rambling and going-on's find their way here. If you have something to say, I would love to hear it from you.
