rpm.karan.org update
ftp://rpm.karan.org/ ftp mirror of http://centos.karan.org is now updated, and will stay updated on a regular 6 hourly schedule. the FTP root address for the repository is ftp://rpm.karan.org/pub/kbsingh/el4/
So if you need ftp based access to the repository, you can get the packages there. Details for the url and repository are already included in the .repo files posted on the homepage of http://centos.karan.org/
Feedback ? always appreciated...

Question regarding RPM repositories, Fedora/RHEL/CentOS installers when compared to APT/Debian installers/repositories
When do a network install of Debian, which I do fairly often, I choose which repositories I'm installing from and the installer installs the latest packages and security updates such that there is no need to do a apt-get update; apt-get upgrade after installing.
I have just done a CentOS 4 and Fedora 4 network install (don't ask) and after installing I have needed to install about 140 MB of updates.
My question is: Is there a way of installing the system along with the latest updates/security fixes.
