Its not often that I get into the 'inner city' early in the mornings, but last week due to a training course, which kicked off at 9:30am, and me helping setup some of the equipment meant - ETA 8:30am, Grays Inn road, London. So anyway, hanging around waiting for the train at North Greenwich, I started a count. To see how many men have wedding rings on, and how many women appear to be carrying a blackberry.
In the four minute wait, score was berries: 8, rings: 5. Odd. But then the data sample was quite low. Train here, onto train, keep counting... Bond Street, switch to Central Line, couple of stops and out into the freezing cold for a walk. By the time I got to the venue the count stood at berries: 31 and rings: 25. Now this is really odd.
Next day I decided, lets keep a count of both sides and ended my inbound journey with:
- Men with rings: 37
- Women with rings: 32
- Men with blackberries: 17
- Women with blackberries: 24
So, this highly unscientific survey indicates there are not only more single women in London, they are also more 'wired' than men. Go figure.
