			<description>I think this shows what a bit of lobbying of your suppliers will do...  We&#039;ve long been frustrated by the fact that HP (and a lot of other hardware vendors) write RPMs that will only install on RHEL because they expect some specific information in /etc/redhat-release. and have been asking for this for a while (I don&#039;t claim that we are the only ones who&#039;ve been asking for this; I&#039;ve no doubt other users have had the same gripes too).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
My only question is as to why the CentOS version has to be any different from a generic Enterprise Linux version - are they going to produce a version for Oracle Enterprise Linux as well? &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Hopefully we can use this as leverage to get IBM to fix similar issues with their support RPMs....</description>

The HP Raid Array command line util for Red Hat has always worked on my CentOS boxes, though the package dependencies can be a bit of a bear. Hope fully this will encourage them to better support CentOS and other community Linux distros.&lt;br /&gt;</description>
